Understanding EBT System Cut-off/Settlement Time

The cut-off/settlement time for EBT system transactions is determined by the State's EBT processor and cannot be changed by us. We simply report the settlement date provided by the processor.

When you make a transaction using the EBT system, the receipt shows two dates: the transaction date and the settlement date. Transactions done in the evening may have a transaction date of today but a settlement date of tomorrow.

In the past, some merchants could choose their cut-off time, but we don't have that option. We cannot change the settlement date in our system. It is solely determined by the State's EBT processor.

Note: This article provides basic information about EBT system cut-off time and settlement dates. For specific guidelines and the most up-to-date information, refer to the EBT program guidelines and contact the relevant authorities.
