There are three ways to process WIC transactions using TotilPay Go.
1.) Without scanning - [VIDEO HERE or HERE for general F&V PLU]
- After turning on "Training Mode", tap "Transactions" at the bottom of the app.
- Select "WIC".
- Type in the number 2 until the Next button turns dark blue. Tap "Next". [NOTE: this number only works in TRAINING MODE]
- Enter in "1234" for the PIN, then type "Enter".
- Tap the "+" to add an item by selecting from the list.
- Tap on "UPC/PLU".
- Select an item from the list or use the "Search APL" box to type in the item you are looking for (at the top of the screen you can toggle between "UPC/PLU" or "Description" search).
- Tap on "Item Quantity" to enter the total number of items for purchase
- Tap on "Unit Price" and enter the price.
- Tap "Done".
- Tap "Submit"
- When the popup appears that says "Submit 'WIC Purchase' Transaction?" Tap "Yes".
- If your printer is connected and on, a receipt should automatically print. You can also tap on the blue receipt button to see the receipt and send it to the printer, or via email or via text message.
- Go back and turn off "Training Mode".
2.) Using scan gun to scan [VIDEO HERE]
- After turning on "Training Mode", tap "Transactions" at the bottom of the app.
- Select "WIC".
- Type in the number 2 until the Next button turns dark blue. Tap "Next". [NOTE: this number only works in TRAINING MODE]
- Enter in "1234" for the PIN, then type "Enter".
- Tap the "+" to add an item by selecting from the list.
- Tap on "UPC/PLU".
- Use the scan gun to scan the item.
- A sample UPC to test is here:
- Tap on "Item Quantity" to enter the total number of items for purchase
- Tap on "Unit Price" and enter the price.
- Tap "Done".
- Tap "Submit"
- When the popup appears that says "Submit 'WIC Purchase' Transaction?" Tap "Yes".

- Go back and turn off "Training Mode".
3.) Using iPad camera to scan [VIDEO HERE]
- After turning on "Training Mode", tap "Transactions" at the bottom of the app.
- Select "WIC".
- Type in the number 2 until the Next button turns dark blue. Tap "Next". [NOTE: this number only works in TRAINING MODE]
- Enter in "1234" for the PIN, then type "Enter".
- Tap the Barcode icon in the bottom right hand corner to add an item
- The iPad camera will be activated; use that to scan the item
- A sample UPC to test is here:
- Tap on "Item Quantity" to enter the total number of items for purchase
- Tap on "Unit Price" and enter the price.
- Tap "Done".
- Tap "Submit"
- When the popup appears that says "Submit 'WIC Purchase' Transaction?" Tap "Yes".
- If your printer is connected and on, a receipt should automatically print. You can also tap on the blue receipt button to see the receipt and send it to the printer, or via email or via text message.
- Go back and turn off "Training Mode".
Important Notes
- WIC returns are not supported as a transaction type in TotilPay Go.
- If a customer believes there is an issue with a WIC-approved product or transaction, they should contact the WIC Client Help Desk for assistance or to file a dispute.
- The test card number “2” only works while Training Mode is enabled.
- Be sure to turn off Training Mode after completing test transactions.
